HISTORY, ARTS AND SCIENCES DOC FEST

Informative note on the establishment of the International Documentary Festival.

After many months of research and study we decided to create an International Documentary Festival on History, Arts and Sciences. This is how we organized the website, as well as the international film platform that will host it. So after completing the registration on the leading FILMFREEWAY platform, this is the first year for the “History, Arts and Science International Doc Fest”, which is an independent international documentary festival that will take place in Athens, specifically in December 2022. The topics of films can be historical, cultural, educational, scientific, research.

 

Important scientists will participate in the festival, which will be announced soon, while the Organizer of the Festival is the Urban non-profit Culture company Canto Mediterraneo, which has a lot of experience in creating and managing other festivals, such as the West Side Mountains Doc Fest. A festival that managed to attract a huge number of foreign participations, from more than eighty countries, as well as a significant number of Greek Creators.

 

Το φεστιβάλ δέχεται συμμετοχές από όλο τον κόσμο και δημιουργούς κάθε ηλικίας και εθνικότητας. Δεν γίνονται δεκτές ταινίες με ακραίες πολιτικές ή ρατσιστικές θέσεις. Το φεστιβάλ δέχεται συμμετοχές μεγάλου εύρους διάρκειας των ταινιών. Όλες οι συμμετοχές θα γίνονται μέσα από τίς διεθνείς πλατφόρμες όπως η FilmFreeway κλπ. ή με e-Mail μέσα από την ιστοσελίδα μας www.cantomed.eu, Η συμμετοχή στο φεστιβάλ συνεπάγεται και την κατοχή όλων των δικαιωμάτων πνευματικής ιδιοκτησίας της κάθε ταινίας, καθώς επίσης ότι ο αιτών την συμμετοχή διαθέτει όλες τις απαιτούμενες εξουσιοδοτήσεις των κατόχων πνευματικών δικαιωμάτων της ταινίας. Ο υποψήφιος αναγνωρίζει ότι: Η Cantomed ΑΜΚΕ Πολιτισμού είναι μη κερδοσκοπικός πολιτιστικός οργανισμός και δεν καταβάλλει τέλη προβολής. Το Cantomed μπορεί να προγραμματίσει έως και τρεις προβολές κατά την κρίση του για τις ανάγκες του φεστιβάλ.

 

The film selection committee is appointed by the director of the Festival, who can replace its members, before the start of the selection, for a serious reason, as well as modify parts of the regulation for reasons of better operation of the festival. The members of the committee will be four and together with the director of the festival there will be five and they will come from the field of letters, arts and sciences and they will be people of known value. If a creator submits a film, along with the entry, they should immediately send us an .mp4 or .mov file without subtitles and an English srt file, if it is a foreign language, for the final screening. In this case the files can be sent to us online (We transfer, MyAirBridge etc.).

 

The Committee will select the best films in its opinion, which will be included according to their length in groups, which will be screened during the days of the festival. On the afternoon of the last day, excerpts from the films to be awarded will be screened, followed by the award ceremony and the closing ceremony.
